My kids still play basketball in England

A brief note about the author of this website.... I was born and raised in West Michigan but I haven't lived there since I was 19. (I haven't lived in the USA since 1988 for that matter either...) I like travelling - hence the name of this site - a bit of adventure, photography, computers, web design, and keeping fit (trying to at least). My career path has been (briefly):
I ended up in England by chance. I was living in Norway, then went on vacation to Egypt and met a woman. She happened to be English and the rest is history. We have a daughter ( who speaks with more of a Yorkshire accent than an American one ) and a younger son and ditto with the accent. For a country slightly smaller than Nevada, there is a huge north / south divide in England and I have spent all of my time in England as a "Northerner" - well - no further north than West Yorkshire... I have lived in a proper English village of only 500 people in the Peak District National Park and in one of the biggest cities in the north, Sheffield. Currently I live in a proper suburban area of West Yorkshire, and work in the I.T. industry in the 'big' cities of Leeds and Manchester. A few extra pix here if you're interested. ---------------------------------- **Dialects can vary tremendously in England as in the States so my hugely popular American-British / British-American dictionaries may have a slight northern bias.
